During UBEK 2025, Dr. Rafael Hermes, Business Development Manager – Phytogenics at Phytobiotics, shared compelling field data that positions Sangrovit® as much more than a feed additive—it’s a performance and profitability enhancer, especially under challenging production conditions.
With 25 years on the market, Sangrovit® has been used globally, but Hermes focused on a recent case study from South Africa, where a customer tested the product over 8 months and 4 production cycles in the face of IB virus-related mortality.
In groups using Sangrovit®, mortality dropped from 15% to 4%, allowing more birds to reach slaughter weight and significantly improving meat yield.
One striking example involved:
• 1 million broilers tested

Hermes emphasized that Sangrovit® is especially valuable under stressful or disease-challenged conditions, where survival rates have a direct and outsized impact on the bottom line.
